Lummy, William McAllif, and I served in Vietnam and Singapore from 1969 to 1972. We worked together during that time and have remained great friends over the years. There were many visits to Ian while he was in care, and we occasionally shared a beer during those visits.
Loved your humour and arguments ,you will be sadly missed old mate RIP LUMMY.

what memories we shared with the Lumsdale family, early Christmas morning drinks, mad theatre restaurant rehearsals, purchasing the Vet merchandise. The Dawn Service on ANZAC day was always so moving and full of meaning. The jokes, the laughter and the permanent smile. Lummy you were a true gentleman, it was our privilege to have known you and we cherish the memories we shared with you and the family.
Les and l will be thinking of Ian’s family, and all the friends from the early days in Tieri, who will also be on livestream to farewell him, we will also have a few beers
reminiscent of the good times with him.
