I was so deeply saddened by your passing. I came over to say goodbye to the family that l was travelling to Ghana. Gee, l did not know it was going to be our last time together.

To Grace, Jarrad and Mani, please know that however you’re feeling right now—sad, numb, tired, angry—it’s normal. There’s no right way to feel. I love you and am so sad that you’re going through this. I want to be present for you, but I don’t know how. I will come over soon as l am back in Oz.

Please know that I’m thinking and praying for you, and if there’s anything else I can do from this end, don’t hesitate to let me know.

  19. Uncle Glenn was a wondrous, fun-loving soul who cared deeply for his family. Though I didn’t have the chance to create as many memories with him as I would have liked, the ones we shared—those from my childhood and the joy of our video calls during milestones in my adult life—are treasures I will always hold dear. It saddens me deeply to say goodbye, but I pray he finds peaceful rest in his seat next to the Lord. We miss you and love you.
