  1. thank you joan for making space in yours and Dad’s life for those left behind years before.
My visits when younger, were always on Economy Class, but you found time to share meals, rooms and special events.
The diaries you and dad gave me had markers through the year, the Rankin pictures could sway the decisions for where to go on our occasional visits
We will miss the shared memories of another age, other countries and another generation.
All our love as you are gathered to the fold.
Love Gerry, Janice and Aisha July 2025

      1. Thinking of Joan as you gather to celebrate her life. As long time friends we were saddened to hear of her passing so soon after we had visited from Sydney. We feel fortunate to have seen her and spent a lovely afternoon in the sunny gardens. Although we can’t be there on Wednesday, we celebrate Joan’s life and commit her to God’s care.
Rest in peace our dear friend.
        Love
        Cherie and Allan.

  2. I am so glad Joan that Allan and l were recently able to visit you again and spend an afternoon with you. I was very sad to hear of your passing but know that you knew you were loved by us and many others. Although we weren’t immediate family we were like family, having spent some time as a family with our dear JG and then welcoming you when you came to Australia to be with him. You were a treasured part of our lives and we will miss you greatly.
Rest in peace our dear friend.
    love
    Cherie and Allan.

  3. Please could you send me the link to Joan’s funeral service for her cousin (my neighbour) in the UK to participate. Thank you.

  4. ‘Auntie’ Joan!

A kind and generous lady, who introduced me to cherries and penny arcades when I was only 8 years old, who rarely forgot a card for birthdays and Xmases, and who graciously shared my grandkids’ milestones, in the absence of my mother.

I will miss our monthly ‘down memory lane’ calls. Gone but never forgotten.

  5. Dearest Joan,
You were a loved “Auntie Joan” with “Poppa John” (JG) to all the kids. I remember when you came to Australia and married John, you referred to my sisters and I as John’s Girls. We were, but we became yours as well. The friendship and love you gave to all of us was something I will always treasure. The memories we shared with time spent together, in Qld and Vic will remain in our hearts. I will miss the phone catch ups. Safe now in God’s care.

    love always
Heather along with John, Ben, Kaylee and Jessica.

A special thank you to Margie.
