In Loving Memory of Joan Mary Ward.
Joan passed away peacefully surrounded by love on 31st October 2024 aged 83.

Loving wife of Noel (deceased), loving mother and mother in law of Nigel & Felicity, and Julie.
Adored grandma Joan of Tycho and Seraphie.
Cherished sister of Les (deceased), Noelene, Bill, Eleanor and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Joan
at St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, 62 Cavendish St, Nundah
on Tuesday 12th November commencing at 11am.

Upon completion of the service you are invited to join the family for refreshments in the facilities adjacent to the church.

To remember Joan, the family would love you to bring a flower from your garden to place on the coffin.

  3. Joan was a dedicated and clever colleague, a kind and genuinely caring friend. After working at Clayfield, I used to see Joan with her book club at Dolci Sappori and her face would light up hearing about family and work news. Joan was gentle yet had a sharp wit coupled with an unforgettable smile. Condolences to her family and friends, she was indeed a treasure.

  4. Although I only knew Joan briefly through art classes at U3A, I very much enjoyed her company, a lovely lady.
    Heartfelt sympathy to family and friends.
    Sadly, I am unable to attend the service celebrating Joan’s life.

  5. It was with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of our dearest sister and sister-in-law. Joan was always there to help support and love us all a Wonder Woman she was and still is, love from us all ❤️

  6. Dear Joan was a work colleague first who became a dear friend over 27+ years. Working together in vocation area – we did hundreds of meals, morning teas, staff luncheons , blah blah. We were naughty. We had fun. Joan to this day was th kindest and most genuine lady I’ve worked with. Joan you taught my kids and me a lot of life’s lessons. Thankyou. May your loved ones find comfort with your deep faith. Rest in peace.

  7. Farewell Joan, may spirit embrace you and lift you to eternal wonderment. I know Julie will miss you immensely, but please know that I will be there with her, supporting her to grow and thrive into her later life, just as she will with me. Rest in peace.
