Mt Thompson Crematorium is located at 329 Nursery Road, Holland Park within 15 minutes from Brisbane City. This crematorium features two chapels. The West chapel was constructed in 1934 and features high ceilings, single chairs instead of pews as well as amural painted by Brisbane artist William Bustard.The East chapel features a more modern design with a tranquil colour scheme anda marble and timberpodium. Both chapels have audio and visual facilities that family and friends areencouraged to use throughout the service, however recording facilities are only available in the east chapel.
Mt Thompson Crematorium offer refreshments in the area just outside the west chapel. There is onsite catering available with multiple options, including non-alcoholic beverages, sandwiches and hotfood. Both the chapel and refreshments area are/is wheel chair accessible and can be hired throughout the week.
Mt Thompson Crematorium also have a beautifully appointed outdoor chapel by a gently flowingstream. This is for those wanting a more intimate alternative setting amongst the beautifullymanicured gardens
