Redland Bay Cemetery has both lawn and monumental sections. For the lawn section, bronze memorial plaques can be ordered through Redland City Council. Areas are created at the head of each grave for memorial plaques and the remaining area of the grave is grassed and maintained by Council.
For the Monumental section standard headstone and grave surrounds can be erected in these areas, along with above and below ground vaults. Permits for erecting monumental works are required. However, stonemasons should be familiar with the procedure for obtaining a permit.
For memorialisation, there are individuate rock settings available and it is possible to plant bushes to personalise this area around the rocks according to the family’s wishes.
The traditional Columbarium Wall niches for cremated remains are available at Redland Bay Cemetery and the walls have double and
single niches.
