Gone Fishing

I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.

Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.

We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.

To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ’em I’ve gone fishin’

  1. Although we never always seen eye to eye, we had some great times together.
Sorry to see you go. All the best mate in your new journey now and will catch up for a bevvy on the other side. RIP my friend.

  2. A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, he will not be forgotten.

  3. Mate,
    A lifetime worth of memories,
    A endless joke and smile.
A shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen.
A heart larger than the world and more golden than any precious metal,
    A soul sweet and gentle.
Forgiving Loving Understanding, Always there for your mates, always there for anyone who needed you.
This is how I will remember you. Always smiling, always there.
You will be more missed and are more loved than you ever knew. I am very honoured that you were part of my life for the last 37 years. Fly free my dear dear friend. Don’t give the big man a hard time and I will see you again when it’s my turn.
